Karen Rohner was born and raised just north of Chicago in Wilmette, IL. She married Steve Rohner in 1988. After 17 great years of marriage, she became widowed when Steve died suddenly on the morning of December 15th, 2004 of a disease called ARVC, a progressive cardiac condition they were unaware he had. Since then, she has dedicated her life to taking the best possible care of their kids, now in their late 20’s.
Over the past 13 years, she has founded and facilitated a number of young widows groups, partnering with an endless number of very young to older widows. Her passion is to help widows find peace within their “new normals” and to help transition them through the changes and challenges of life.
In November of 2016, Karen found out about an opportunity called “life coaching.” She fell in love with the idea, then studied for 8 months to learn coaching skills needed to live out this dream. One by one, she is encouraging and empowering widows to embrace their new normal and lead a fulfilling life.
