Legacy Planning Workshop – Week 6
June 27 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm UTC-6
All marriages end at some point, but the most successful marriages end with the death of a spouse. Surviving spouses will tell you they knew it would happen someday, but they never planned for it to happen when it did. Being prepared for the practical part of losing a spouse makes the grieving and transition easier for the survivors, yet so few take the time to adequately plan for end-of-life. We spend far more time and effort planning our wedding day than we do planning for the death of our beloved partner and the difficult transition that follows.
Shouldn’t we be motivated to make things as easy as possible for our loved ones after we die? Isn’t there a moral obligation for a spouse to ensure the surviving spouse doesn’t confront years of undue financial hardship? It’s impossible to be completely emotionally and financially prepared for such a loss, but are there steps we can take to alleviate some of the angst and confusion the day after we die, and beyond? Yes, there are!
Chris Bentley, a Certified Financial Planner® and Best-Selling author of The Legacy Planning & Conversation Guide, will help you navigate end-of-life planning. You will discover there are things to know, things to locate, things to discuss, and things to do. You will learn helpful information that will help you make important decisions. This 6-week course will lead to preparedness, understanding, and peace of mind. Preparing for end-of-life is a heroic act of unselfish love.
