Our volunteer coaches hail from around the country, and all have earned their CFP® designations. When you work with a CFP® coach, you are working with the best and brightest in the industry. Your professional financial advisor has one goal: to provide you with the personalized advice, guidance, and support you need to feel confident and empowered to make financial decisions about your financial future.

When you lose a spouse, managing your financial future can feel overwhelming. Wings for Widows connects you with experienced CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals who understand the unique challenges you face and are committed to helping you regain your financial confidence.

Our network consists of carefully selected financial advisors who hold the CFP® certification, the gold standard in financial planning. Each has completed specialized training in working with widowed individuals and commits to providing a minimum of four hours of professional guidance at no cost to you. This pro bono service allows you to work with an experienced advisor who can help you organize your financial situation, understand available benefits, identify immediate priorities, and create clear action steps for moving forward.

Finding your advisor is straightforward. Browse profiles by state to locate professionals licensed in your area. Each profile includes the advisor's professional background, areas of expertise, languages spoken, and contact information. When you find an advisor whose experience and approach align with your needs, you can contact them directly through their profile. Expect a response within their stated timeframe, typically one to two business days.

During your initial no-cost sessions, your advisor will focus entirely on understanding your situation and helping you navigate important financial decisions. There's no selling of products or services during this period. After completing the pro bono hours, you and your advisor can discuss options for moving forward—whether that means continuing pro bono assistance, transitioning to professional services, or concluding the engagement. The choice is yours, with no obligation.
